For years MacDonald’s has been offering warehousing facilities on a small scale as a supplement to the transportation services to its customers.
Now and after establishing warehouses at strategic points in the country we are able to deliver a complete logistic solution to our customers.
We deliver the following service:
- Transportation from a collection point to our warehouse;
- Off-loading and handling of product at our warehouse;
- Warehousing of product;
- Packaging of product;
- Containerise product;
- Loading of vehicles to transport product to delivery point;
- Cross haul to and from the ports;
- Collecting product at ports or delivering product to port ready to be exported.
Our warehousing staff are friendly, reliable and well trained and we continually develop end improve our warehousing systems.
Our warehousing facilities are at:
DURBAN
Durban, which comprises of 8,500m² of covered and 5,000m² of open warehouse space. The main activities of the warehouse is handling of bulk and palletized product, packing and stacking of containers and storage of product.
RICHARDS BAY
The Richards Bay comprises of 8,000m² of open storage on paving as well as an intermodal (rail and road) off-loading facility, making it predominantly a bulk handling facility. Complimentary services such as cross haul into stacks is also offered as a value added service.
CAPE TOWN
Cape Town warehouse comprises of 2,100m² of undercover warehousing space and 810m² of open storage space. Additional 6,000m² is currently under construction.
JOHANNESBURG
Comprises of 3,500m² of covered warehousing space.
UPINGTON
Comprises of 2,500m² of covered and 12,000m² of open warehousing space.
There are smaller facilities at Vryburg, Harrismith and Komatipoort.
